The Red Weed Bar Surface Projection

Working with Pixel Artworks, I was responsible for concepting digital experiential projection for the surface of an S-Shaped bar, in a ‘Red Weed’ themed section of the War of the World’s immersive theater experience.  Three states were created to evoke the weird and wonderful world depicted in H.G. Well’s story.

‘Poster’ Projection Mapped Artwork – Selected Pieces

Additionally, teaming up with an occasional CD collaborator, Shiv Pandya, we brought to life a series of six album cover artworks originally created for Jeff Wayne’s Musical – War Of The Worlds, adapted from the famous novel by H.G. Wells.  These are positioned around the walk-in bar to start the process of immersing audience before they enter the theater experience.

The creative process involved up-scaling the artworks to poster size and then airbrushing elements from the paintings, which we then animated and projected mapped back on to the paintings. This process is known as poster mapping.

These projected poster mapped pieces were framed and hung around an London based immersive bar experience, also themed on War of the Worlds.
